FC Berlin had an auspicious debut in the OWFL on Sunday. After conceding a goal in the first few minutes of the match, the quickly found the equalizer via Maia Torelli; the 1-1 result would persist until the halftime break. Torelli scored again right after the second period started, but Nia Fleming-Thompson immediately counter with her own brace to tie the game again.
As the second half progressed, Berlin gradually took control of the action; Sam Murphy made her presence known with two more goals, and Jocelyn Garcia added one of her own to make it a 5-2 victory for our team. Torelli picked up the MVP award -deservedly so- as her teammates celebrated Berlin's first win.
Our ladies will hit the pitch again next Sunday, as they will play against Dixon Cyder FC
